International Permaculture Conference and Convention
Palm trees, 1950s American cars, mojitos, great salsa music, pina coladas, vibrant murals painted on walls, friendly people, a local farmer’s market, and tropical wind and rain…these were just some of the things that Tedrowe and Marcia encountered on their December 2013 trip to Cuba for the International Permaculture Conference and Convention. More importantly, we had the chance to visit some of Cuba’s permaculture farms as well as meeting with permaculturists from all over the world and learning about their projects and activities. It was a wonderful time of learning and sharing and a chance to spend time with some amazing people. Many of permaculture’s principles apply to our projects, and we were inspired by all the possibilities for projects utilizing sustainable development.
